Mechanical Engineer – Energy / Building Efficiency
Location: San Francisco, CA
Salary: $90K - $130K

Sequence is seeking a senior-level Mechanical Engineer to oversee industrial boiler energy efficiency projects that involve commissioning and re-commissioning of facility boilers, HVAC and industrial systems throughout the western United States.

The ideal individual would have 8+ years experience in the design and construction of boiler and HVAC energy efficiency programs that involve long-term measurement and verification strategies. This would include the initial identification of potential projects, evaluating facility systems, working with customers to develop an energy efficiency plans for hot water and steam systems, developing the financial incentive plan, identifying and installing mechanical systems, and verifying energy efficiency data results on a regular basis.

This is a senior-level project management opportunity that will require leadership, business development, client relationship management, estimating / budgeting, proposal creation and engineering / staff management responsibilities for projects in the region.

Candidates must have excellent technical engineering skills related to monitoring based energy efficiency programs. Understanding and utilization of flow meters, flue gas analyzers, temperature and pressure loggers required. Experience with or proven track record of involvement with commissioning and/or retro-commissioning projects required.

Requires a bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; master\'s preferred. Professional Engineering (PE) Registration is required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
